Outlook Email

Loudoun County currently uses Microsoft Office's Outlook for email communications. There is both a software client version of this tool as well as a web version. Both work well, which you use depends on user preference. See the attached tutorials below to help guide you in using Outlook.

To set up LCPS email on a smart phone:
  1. Run the Personal Email Setup Wizard on your mobile device (this process varies by manufacturer and device software platform; for questions, please consult the documentation that came with your device) or download and install the Outlook App.

  2. When prompted to choose Account type, select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync

  3. Enter your full LCPS Email Address -- for example: john.doe@lcps.org

  4. Enter your LEAD password, which is the same password you use to login to your computer

  5. If prompted to enter a Domain, leave this field blank

  6. If prompted to enter Domain\User name, enter a slash, then your Outlook User Name -- for example: \jdoe@lcps.org

  7. Enter your Outlook User Name -- for example: jdoe@lcps.org

  8. Enter Exchange Server: outlook.office365.com

  9. Your device should now be syncing email with your LCPS Outlook Account! Please be advised that your email may take up a large amount of storage on your device and you may want to limit the number of days of email stored to a week or less.
